Once upon a time , a young scientist had a marvelous idea! She was studying the ocean and its secrets and wanted the whole world to know about the amazing things you can find there …

Our scientist is Dharma Reyes Macaya who came from Chile to do her PhD here in MARUM, Germany. She thought of a way to share her science with children/the public and realized she could translate her knowledge of the ocean into stories. Soon the idea spread through the corridors of MARUM, passing from one ear to another. Our young scientist found herself surrounded with the scientist from all over the world wishing to take part in making this idea come true … and they wrote happily ever after.
